How to Support Your Local Coffee Shop
It seems like every hour we hear of new things happening. Today (Friday, March 13) the governor of West Virginia just cancelled all schools indefinitely. Most of this seems to be mass hysteria- but whether mass hysteria or a real pandemic- we take fears and concerns seriously. Yesterday we talked about what measures Cohesive Coffee is taking for our coffee shop in Greenville, SC. Coffee shops around the country are doing this to keep people safe and help our customers.
Today- I wanted to talk about ways you can help your local coffee shop.
We aren’t sure what’s coming as far as government regulations and forced shutdowns. We are a new start up that can’t afford a 2 week or more slump like what we are seeing in other parts of the country. Our customer family has been incredible during this time- and many people have asked how they can best support the small businesses around them.
Buy Bags of Coffee
An easy way to support your local shop is to come in and purchase a bag or two of coffee. This also allows you to brew coffee from the comfort of your own home while we all ride this fear out.
Gift Cards
Another easy option to help your local coffee shop stay afloat is to purchase gift cards for later dates. Shockingly- most cafe owners are not swimming in cash (I know, I was surprised myself!). Purchasing gift cards for friends and even yourself for a later date can greatly help cash flow during a time of low customers. You can even purchase a Square e-gift card by emailing us.
To Go orders
If you are wary of sitting in a cafe for extended periods of time- just order it togo! We just signed up with Cloosiv to offer Mobile Ordering! Just download the app- send in your order- and come pick it up!
Social media Support
Above all- simple support on social media helps cafes out tremendously. Commenting, sharing, and liking goes a long way.
